This was one of the first hardcore bands that I heard that appealed a lot to me, even as a metalhead., with their Not A Pretty Sight (1986) LP.
I don't know if they were ever really labelled "crossover", but they had metal-edge guitars and some metal riffing.
They disappeared I guess after they made a second LP on Fringe Records, which had some hard rock songs, but it did yield a music video that got a lot of airplay "Danger Zone", plus a killer circle-pit song that was on the B-side of that 7 inch single, "I Want A Woman From the Soviet Union" (Danger Zone / I.W.A.W.F.T. Soviet Union (7")
